Supergirl isn't the best superhero show on TV - it's not even the best superhero show on The CW - but it's a dependable, solid piece of escapism, with a likeable cast and a sympathetic world view.

A great cast and a some good dialog goes a long way for me. Melissa Benoit has had some fantastic performances, a couple of her most powerful were opposite Katie McGrath's Lena Luthor, since each have had confession scenes. Real Tear-jerkers. But, in the titular role, Melissa also delivers a very inspirational speech to her cousin, played by Tyler Hoechlin, my favorite TV Superman. Chyler Leigh is always a treat as Alex Danvers, whose Director Danvers is finding her stride. David Harewood's Martian Manhunter has an interesting story arc that brings Carl Lumbly back. Having Space Dad and Space Granddad together again warms my heart .

    Best supercorp scenes so far

One of the worst shows I have ever tried to watch. What stands out is the imho worst casting a tv show has pulled ever. It's like they took all the worst actors from a tellenovella show and put the in a superhero universe and just went on with the same bad writers.

The series is absolutely awesome thanks to the themes addressed and exemplary performances by actors in the show

It's a really great conclusion to all what happened in season 4 with a new threat

Oof.... this show is officially dead to me now. Its been removed from recording on my DVR even. Its not even good enough to watch when nothing else is on or recorded at this point IMO.

Ive been watching this show for awhile but they keep getting worse. Make a decent storyline, plot devices go nowhere the acting is just bland and in exciting. It's just not okay anymore. It stated off not bad.

It's definitely an improvement from last season, but I think that's what's holding it back most. Season 3 fumbled all sorts of political issues for the sake of showing how "progressive" they were, but season 4 is based heavily on story driven by its characters. Hopefully the writing will continue to improve!
